These are incredibly sturdy, durable houses and, for some, it may be the first and last house they have. Your donation will help ensure that a less fortunate pup has a warm, dry shelter in the coming months - no amount is too small!

Join us for some Black Friday fun! We’ll be kicking off our annual online auction on Friday, November 26 over on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/salemslight2019). This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and all proceeds will go to sponsor free spay/neuter surgeries and other veterinary care for dogs in need in the metro Richmond area. We’ll have lots of exciting items to bid on - just in time for holiday gift giving!
We are once again teaming up with The Street Dog Coalition and Colonial Heights Animal Services for a free veterinary clinic for pets of the homeless and near-homeless. The clinic will be held on Saturday, October 30, at the Colonial Heights Animal Services from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Limited appointments are available!

Saturday, 12/5, we will once again be working with The Street Dog Coalition, who are hosting a free veterinary clinic for pets (dogs and cats welcome) of the homeless and near-homeless in metro Richmond. The pop-up clinic will offer vaccinations, microchips, deworming, parasite treatment, and an exam of minor medical problems. We are scheduling a limited number of appointments to comply with social distancing and gathering restrictions. Face masks required during appointments.

Come join us for the kick off of our new monthly dine out series, Sippin' For Salem's Light. Once a month, we will partner with a local restaurant to show them some love, and a portion of proceeds will go back to benefit our outreutreach efforts to help dogs in the local community.

Get out your ugliest holiday sweater, grab your pup, and head down to Triple Crossing Fulton Sat., Dec. 14 for a holiday fundraiser for Salem's Light hosted by Triple Crossing!
Santa will be there to take photos with your furry friends for a $10 donation. Misfit Moon Photography will be there capturing photos of your furry friend and Santa! $10 donation to receive digital photos!
Bring your ugly sweater 'A' game because there will be a contest and a prize for the best (or worst) sweater. We will have a small raffle with some sweet prizes, donuts, yappy hour, and River City Sweets LLC will be there selling their delicious sugar cookies!

Come celebrate all things dog! River City Roll is hosting DogFest 2019 to benefit VET Fund, a nonprofit organization which provides funding for emergency veterinary care to families in need. There will be live music, dog-themed cocktails, tons of pet-friendly vendors, an agility course, fun contests, and more! Salem’s Light will be one of the vendors so stop by and see us!
Join us in the Fan on Sunday, July 14, from noon to 4:00 pm for a dog-friendly (friendly dogs are always allowed INSIDE the brewery) event to support Salem's Light's community outreach efforts! There will be all kinds of fun activities including a silent auction, donation drive, "Yappy Hour", puppy pools, DJ, kissing booth, photographer, and adoptable dogs! 100% of event proceeds and a portion of beer sales will benefit Salem's Light.

The clinic is Sunday, June 2 from noon to 4:00 pm at Boulevard Vet Clinic! Salem’s Light volunteers will be helping to staff the event and we will also have basic supplies on hand for dogs in need!
